Why is Citrix being removed?
Our Remote Apps service (also called Citrix) is being discontinued for a variety of reasons. We have worked at length to improve the performance of the Remote Apps service, but have been unable to make significant and meaningful improvement. As such, we have identified replacement access methods for each of the applications provided in the Remote Apps service.
How can I access Microsoft Office Applications remotely?
The Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams and more) can be accessed from office.com. You can choose to use the online version or download the desktop version on any personal computer. You need an office.com account which is free to create. How can I access Visio?
Visio can be used in an online version in a web browser or can be downloaded and used as a desktop application. Please note that these are two different versions of the Visio application. 7-Zip is available for free on the developers website. Please download it from them directly to install it on your personal computer. The download can be found at Download (7-zip.org)
