Summary:
The following instructions are a guide for students to install Multisim and Ultiboard 14.2 on their personal devices as part of being a student at SUNY Broome. Please note the stated prerequisites below before proceeding. Various screenshots will be included below the step they are associated with.
Prerequisites:
· Active SUNY Broome email address
· Computer
· Stable internet connection
· Product Serial Number (Please contact your professor to get this.)
Instructions:
Please note: Before proceeding, please ensure that you have obtained the product serial number from your professor. If you do not have this information, you will be unable to use MultiSim or Ultiboard.
1. Navigate to ni.com and create a new account using your SUNY Broome email address.
2. After creating the account, find the email sent to you by NI and confirm your email address. (You may need to check your Spam folder.)
3. Return to ni.com and login with your newly created account.
4. In the upper right corner, hover over your name and click on Products.
5. Enter SUNY Broome as the Company Name and your phone number under Phone.
6. Enter the Serial Number in the box. You can refresh the page to check if you have successfully registered.
7. Click on the box that says Select Action and select Download Software.
8. Next to Software Environment, click the dropdown and select MultiSim.
9. Confirm version 14.2 is selected and select download.
10. Run the NI Package Installer. Accept the license agreements, click next, then click next again to proceed.
11. Please wait for the installer to finish running.
12. When it completes, you will need to go through the same process of accepting the license agreements, clicking next, and clicking next again.
13. Please wait for the installer to finish running. This may take some time.
14. Say yes to the NI Update Service.
15. Sign in with your NI account that you created earlier. This may take some time.
Please note: Do not skip while the licensing wizard checks for a valid license.
16. Enter the same Serial Number from before in the Serial Number boxes next to Multisim 14.2 Education Edition and Ultiboard 14.2 Education Edition. Then select Activate.
17. You will see the following information if your product Serial Number is successfully licensed.
18. Select Reboot Now
19. You are now ready to use MultiSim and Ultiboar
