Overview
How to add browser extensions such as Proctorio (Secure Exam Proctor) while being logged into their school email.
Issue: Google Chrome Store is blocked on your SUNY Broome email
If a user is logged in to the Google Chrome browser itself with a sunybroome.edu Gmail account, the browser will adapt it's settings to SUNY Broome's Google security policies.

An example of this is the Google chrome web store being blocked. Preventing users from installing browser extensions.

Solution
Step 1: Log out of your SUNY Broome email
Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of your screen (By default, it is the 1st letter of your first name)
In the popup that appears, click "Sign out"

Step 2: Navigate to the extension you want to add
Now you can freely access the Chrome Web Store. Navigate to the desired extension like you normally would. Click "Add to Chrome"

Step 3: Add Extension
A popup will appear confirming that you would like to add the extension you just selected. Confirm that it is correct and that you accept the permissions and click "Add extension"
Please note after clicking "Add extension" it may close your Google Chrome Browser

Success!
You will receive a popup message stating that the extension had been added to Chrome.

Optional
Pin the extension
If you would like to always see the extension, you can pin it next to the address bar.
To do this, click the Puzzle Piece icon to open the extensions menu. Find the extension that you would like to pin and click the pin icon.

Log back in
After the extension is added, you can log back into the browser using your SUNY Broome Gmail account. The extension will remain active.
