Overview
All faculty, staff, and students have access to our private, on-campus Wi-FI network while they are a part of the SUNY Broome community. The below instructions will guide you through the process of joining the private Wi-Fi on an android phone. Screenshots used for demonstration are from a Samsung Galaxy device; your phone’s screen and steps may look a little different depending on the model and Android version.
ATTENTION: VPNs WILL NOT FUNCTION ON CAMPUS WI-FI. IF YOU NEED TO USE A VPN, YOU MUST CONNECT YOUR LAPTOP TO A PERSONAL HOTSPOT.
For students, faculty, and staff, please use the SUNYBroomeConnect network.
1. Open Wi-Fi Settings by swiping down from the top of your screen and tapping the Wi-Fi icon, or going to Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi.

2. Select the SUNYBroomeConnect network.

4. Click view more to open advanced settings.

5. Enter credentials.
- For Identity, use your MyCollege username (without “@sunybroome.edu”)
- For Password, use your MyCollege password.
- Set CA Certificate to Don't validate.

- All other settings should be correct by default, but double-check the remaining fields to avoid any issues.
